German Christmas Service--Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2 pm

Everyone is welcome to attend the German Christmas Service at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Collins on Saturday, December 9th at 2pm. The service will include familiar hymns sung in their original German, with Gemütlichkeit and Christmas goodies to follow. Knowledge of German is not required. Come celebrate the birth of our Savior like the area German Lutherans did over 100 years ago…with a Christmas message that still brings us peace and joy today. Hello everyone. This Sunday July 23rd at 9:00 will be Pastor Weiss’ last service with St Peters. Please make every effort to attend this service so we can fill the church to show our appreciation for the years that he has given to us. Pastor will be dearly missed but we know that he will do great things for so many in his future. Please come and support/thank him for all he has done for us at St Peters. Also if you can sing we are meeting at 8:30 in the lower classroom. See you all on Sunday.

This Sunday, Palm Sunday, we begin the final week of Lent. As we remember Jesus' suffering and death for our sins and his victory over death on Easter Sunday morning, we will have special worship services commemorating these events. Here is our Holy Week Schedule:

April 2 - Palm Sunday Worship, 9 am
April 6 - Maundy Thursday Worship, 6:30 pm
April 7 - Good Friday Tenebrae Service, 1:30 & 6:30 pm
April 9 - Easter Breakfast, 7-8:30 am
- Easter Festival Worship Service, 9 am

During this special week of the year, we take time to mediate on the great love the God has shown to us in sending his Son to be our Savior and to rescue us from punishment for our sins. Come join us to remember our Savior's sacrificial death and his great resurrection from the dead.
