Today is the Feast of the Epiphany, marking the visit of the three Wisemen to Christ.
This photo was taken by Fr. Kneib when he visited the cathedral in Cologne, Germany. The gold ossuary on the altar contains the bones of the three Wisemen brought from the Holy Land by St. Helen, the mother of the Roman Emperor Constantine in the 4th century.

"The riches of the sea shall be emptied out before you, the wealth of nations shall be brought to you. Caravans of camels shall fill you,

All Saint's Day, November 1, is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses at St. Columban's will be celebrated on the vigil, October 31, at 6:00 pm and on the Solemnity, November 1 at 8:15am and 6:00pm.

All Saint's Day is a day dedicated to those who have died and now live with God in heaven. This day contrasts with All Souls Day, which honors all who have died, but are instead likely to be in ...
