Mission Trip 2026 - Tacoma, WA
What an incredible week, serving God and His people in Tacoma. Several days of hard work, moments of “stretching” outside of our comfort zone, and seeds of encouragement and good news planted along the way. On top of all of that, we witnessed God’s beauty and magnificence through His creation!
We had 3 full days of manual labor, serving Lakeview Church of Christ who graciously hosted us for the week, and Kibler Ave Church of Christ. The projects we completed consisted of house renovations for a preachers family who have been waiting 7 years to move into their permanent residence, cleaning up a community garden, lots of painting, tearing up carpet, building fence, and several other odd jobs that needed done.
Another day was spent learning about a Homeless Shelter that serves hundreds of people day in and day out. We saw behind the scenes of all the services they provide, not just meeting the basic physical needs but working to bring people out of hopeless situations, leading them to Christ, and assisting them in finding new life. We also made sack lunches and handed them out to people on the street, giving them booklets of scripture and praying over each of them. It was eye opening and humbling to see this great need, and to play a very small part in the ministry that so many people are in desperate need of.
Along the way, we saw Mount Rainer, explored Seattle, and prayed over strangers at Pugent Sound.
We are so grateful for the support we received that allowed us to experience and join in on the work God is doing in the Tacoma area. This would not be possible without so many people feeling the nudge in their heart to give, and going above and beyond anything we could’ve expected. Whether you gave financially or prayed over our trip, you will never fully know the gift it was to all of us, and we are indebted to you for this experience. Thank you.
