Yesterday it felt like spring had finally won.

Windows open. Sun shining. I wore sandals to church. Maybe even that moment where you think, “Should I put the winter coats away?”

And then today?

Snow.

Cold.

Gray.

Pennsylvania doing what Pennsylvania does best—keeping us guessing. One forecast even shows days swinging from the 60s into snow and freezing temps within hours.

Honestly, it feels a little like the world right now.

One minute things seem hopeful…
The next minute, everything shifts.

One day you’re feeling strong in your faith, grounded, clear.
The next day, something hits—news, conflict, stress, grief—and suddenly you’re standing in the cold wondering what just happened.

Life lately feels a lot like this weather.

Unpredictable.
Unsteady.
A little exhausting, if we’re honest.

But here’s the thing the weather reminds us—whether we like it or not:

The temperature changes… but the ground is still there.

And in the same way:

Everything around us may shift—but God does not.

Scripture reminds us that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Not mostly the same. Not seasonally dependable. Not reliable only when things are going well.

Unchanging.

When the world feels like 75 degrees one day and snowing the next, God is still steady.

When your emotions swing from hopeful to overwhelmed, God is still present.

When life doesn’t make sense, God is still working.

We don’t always get consistency in our circumstances.

But we do get consistency in our Creator.

And maybe that’s the invitation this week:

Instead of trying to control the forecast…
Instead of getting frustrated with every sudden shift…

What if we learned to anchor ourselves in the One who doesn’t change?

To trust that even when life feels messy and unpredictable…

God is still faithful.
Still present.
Still holding it all together.

So whether today feels like sunshine or snow—

Take a breath.

God is still God.

And that hasn’t changed.
