I am very saddened to learn that no one was able to carry on the leadership of the Sacramento Diocesan Council of Catholic Women - SDCCW. I had to resign due to loosing my husband of 59 years in 2020 and then I was completely deflated from losing my wonderful son in 2021. I had hoped and prayed that fellow Catholic Women would step up and carry on this organization that was in existence for 80+ years. Unfortunately, we have lost the last two women who were in line for the presidency due to health issues.

If you have it in your heart to take a role in the necessary Board positions and the energy to re-organize the Catholic Women, please let it be known.

God bless and thank you. Judie MartinezšŸ„°šŸ™

What an amazing occasion with the Holy Spirit filling St. Mel parish in Fair Oaks and 190+ women of Faith in attendance!

The SDCCW has been inundated with joyful responses to the experience our Speakers, Faith + Fsmily Collective founders, Pam Hurwitz & daughter Jyllian Rhodes provided.

Chairperson of the event, Marcia Hartman is emailing our guests an evaluation form to express their good & not so good suggestions to improve for next year.

Further pictures of those in attendance will be provided when we receive them from the photographer.

Special guests included Sacramento Diocesan Bishop Jaime Soto, Vice-Chancellor Chantel LeFevre & her sweet mother, and staff members from the Diocese. Spiritual Director to SDCCW for over 20 years, Rev. John Cantwell rushed back from a funeral to say many kind words about the women in our parishes and to give a final blessing.

2020 Women of the Year were presented a certificate from the Bishp & their photos were proudly displayed in the Hall of Fame corner with their biography.

Here’s a preview of what’s to come: enjoy!

So much to do, so little time! Not really, I’m just slow. šŸ˜‚ The Board is ecstatic about hosting the Retreat for women on August 27th! We had a great meeting Thursday to make final assignments & check our progress. There are still some tickets available before we fill St. Mel’s Parish Center in Fair Oaks completely!

Here’s my kitchen table & sideboard! I won’t post the extra bedroom full of Raffle Prizes & more supplies!

I want to say a BIG thank you to the backbone of this special event Marcia Hartman (Event Chairperson) Millie Urso-Centers, ļæ¼Trudy Connolly, Linda Chapman, Valerie Revolinsky, Maeva Barickman, Ana Ramirez-Palmer, Steve Palmer, Nicole Zamora, (and to my daughter Erin Martinez Snyder for purchasing the first ticket! )This is an amazing committee of hard working ladies!
Also a big thank you to the Staff at Sacramento Diocesan Pastoral Center & Bishop’s Office led by Chantal LeFevre and Bryan Visitacion! They are wonderful!
