The We Care Ministries corporation was founded by Georgie Kinyon-Szendrey and Shari Yocum-Smith in 1982 after Georgie was involved in the Church of the Living word, a Charismatic Cult that had its roots embedded in the New Order of the Latter Rain of 1948. Shari and Georgie spent several years researching and working with peopl
e who were involved in extremist religious movement, such as the Rainbow Family, The Church of the Living Word, the Fellowship of Friends, etc. Georgie and Shari spent several years researching on the teachings and roots of the church of the Living Word, and its influence on the Charismatic Renewal. Georgie worked with Tony Cox (ex wife Yoko Ono) and the production of his film on John Lennon and the Church of the Living Word, eventually writing an 800 page unpublished ms on the roots, history and doctrines of the New Order of the Latter of 1948 and its culmination into the World Church. Issues and Answers a local TV program develop out of the efforts to address issues in society from a Christian perspective. It continues on Fox 20 out of Chico, Ca. From 1999 to present the We Care Ministries has an outreach to the Hmong community whose relatives were genocide in the jungles of Laos. In 2010 a new effort of opening and operating a local Thrift and Antique store Park Ave North was opened to help raise money for local Christian ministries
