Christy Leigh Langhoff, you are the radiant love of my life, meticulously crafted by God's loving hands to be my perfect soulmate. You're the one I ache to share my golden years with, weaving cherished memories, laughter, and tears together.

After searching for what felt like an eternity, I've found my home in you. Now that you're by my side, I'll hold onto you forever, through every sunrise and every sunset.

Through life's ups and downs, our love shines brighter than any star. Disagreements and silence can't diminish our unbreakable bond. I know in my heart we were predestined to find each other, meant to surrender to love's transformative power.

Today is September 1st…so here’s Psalms 1:1…

Psalm 1:1-6 NLT - 1 Oh, the joys of those who do not
follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand around with sinners,
or join in with mockers.
2 But they delight in the law of the LORD,
meditating on it day and night.
3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank,
bearing fruit each season.
Their leaves never wither,
and they prosper in all they do.
4 But not the wicked!
They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind.

5 They will be condemned at the time of judgment.
Sinners will have no place among the godly.
6 For the LORD watches over the path of the godly,
but the path of the wicked leads to destruction.

If your in addiction, or your feeling a struggle that starts in your heart and radiates through out your whole being. If you feel stuck and stagnant in your life, and failing to see a purpose or reason to motivate you to keep pushing forward, why not put your faith in Christ, is it because you can’t see him, or touch him, is it because you can’t see him working in the lives of others with your own two eyes? Well let me tell you if your waiting for him to return to show you his marvelous miracles, so you can hug him, I’m sorry to say that he did that once already, he came to show the world that God was real. This time when he comes back, he’s not coming to break bread, he’s not coming to speak to nations, he’s coming to swoop up his faithful believers, he’s coming to take us home to be with him and all those who went before us, and on his way out he’s going to set this world on fire, cleansing it once and for all of the evil that has been growing, and festering like cancer in the hearts of his beloved flock.

I am not afraid, I am not scared, I will not run away. In the past I was scared, I was afraid, I tried to run, only to trip over my own feet with in balanced actions. Today I know who my God is. I know what he is capable of. I need not worry about anything. What happens was meant to happen, what doesn’t happen, wasn’t part of thecstorybthatcwasxwritten for me. Thank you Jesus for instilling courage in me from you spring of living water amen.🙏

When I feel like I’m under attack…like my luck has run out, or karma is kicking my butt. I sit and think about why things are looking down, but aren’t quite down. Why the world seems against me, yet many are for me. Why I’m still being blessed even through the storms. It’s not that I’m prone or destined to fall, it’s because a battle is being fought on my behalf. It’s because Jesus loves me as his son, and the devil knows I’m a threat. When you feel these supernatural pulls in your life, don’t be discouraged, you are being backed by the one and only Lord Jesus Christ, and you threaten the happiness of that loser Satan❤️💯🙏🙌. Stay the course you shall prevail. Be strong and vigilant…your Gods greater. In the Bible, Jesus says, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" in John 10:10.

I came from a world, from a life where there are very few genuine smiles. Where misery runs the streets, and pain fuels your actions. This world is right in front of your face. When individuals get out of this life, they distance themselves from the self-destructive patterns that lead them to being an asset, or a good fit for this kind of life. we try and for the most part to move on and some even get to a point where they don't even think about what it was like out there in full-blown addiction. For myself I do a pretty good job at moving on, not forgetting, but not living in, or submerging myself in those thoughts anymore. There are those moments though, those moments in which I will pass someone while driving through town, and they are passed out on the side of the road. These moments make my heart drop and put the foulest feeling in my stomach. That was me!!! That is the life that with the grace of God I was able to escape. I pray daily that those individuals that I see as I drive through town find that rock bottom that will catapult them to a better life, and a more meaningful love for themselves. That poison being sold on the streets, and those that deal it make me sick, I don't hate them, because, at one point in my life, I was them. One thing I refuse to be is a hypocrite, but please stop, this country is hurting, and they aren't helping.

It’s such a blessing that as I distance myself from that last hit off a glass pipe, I’m able to see the small accomplishments, as well as the big wins. My heart hurts for anyone who is still stuck in addiction. Those who still have that ever so quite whisper in they’re ear. For me I’ll never forget those voices in my head telling me I’m not good enough for anyone, that I’ll only hurt the people I love. The voices beckoning me to smoke my worries and insecurities away. Today those insecurities still exist, today I still worry. On bad days my depression tells me that I’m failing the people I love. Today I have choices and options. I can choose to let these thoughts consume me, I can choose to suffer in silence, or succumb to what lies the devil tells me to entice me back into a dark and lonely life. Oooorrrrr I can use these voices, and these thoughts to fuel me into the continued efforts to build on to a better me, onto a better life, on being a better father and husband. I can choose life no matter how hard and cruel it can be sometimes. Because where I was 4 years 4 months ago, compared to where I’m at today is like night and day. You have choices and options too. Which way are you prepared to go? Up or down? God Bless you all🙏.

An excerpt from Brian Head Welche’s book, “Save Me From Myself.” What he has to say about this is the truth. I’m a southern Baptist if you must put a label on me, but really I’m a fearful, blessed, grateful and humble child of God. Whether it’s in a church ⛪️, a park, in my car 🚗,during my commute. Whether it’s praying 🙏 in my shower, or at the kitchen table….I gonna get me some JESUS!!! Instead of preaching the reprecussions that come with sinning, and condemning someone for their past, let’s instead talk about what Jesus has done in your life, his life, her life, my life, and what it can do in their life. Raise those who need saving up to a loving, good God full of forgiveness and grace, instead of painting a picture of someone to be scared of. I love God🙋🏻‍♂️, always gonna love God, always gonna do my BEST to curve my sinning ways to please God😇. But I’ve got a foul mouth🤬….oh my I got a foul mouth. I have lustful thoughts😉…about my wife, and I love the heck out of pork🤷🏻‍♂️…I also know Jesus loves me, he died for me so I may be forgiven for my my mouth, my thoughts, and that yummy pork lol. And Jesus loves you too. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise amen 🙏

Hebrews 6:18 states, "that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us".

According to BibleRef.com, Hebrews 6:18 means that people should be confident and patient, rather than fearful, because their hope is anchored in God's nature. The passage also says that shallow faith can lead to doubt, discouragement, and disobedience, which can result in judgment as the only hope for restoration.

So I ask you do you want to stand by the river of the living Holy Spirit with your big toe just testing the water, and the rest of your body thirsting for happiness, relief, understanding, and freedom. Or do you want to be entirely submerged in the forgiveness, grace, and unwavering love of Christ? Give me a snorkel baby….i’m gonna be down there for awhile 🙏 amen 🙏

Romans 8:24 KJV
For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Hope isn’t something tangible, it’s not something you can can theoretically hold in your hands. It resides in your heart, spirit, and soul. Hope is a feeling, one that keep many pushing forward through a rigorous and fast paced society. When we feel that things are slipping between our fingers, we put our hands together and pray for Gods mighty hand. Hope is knowing that pain will not go on forever, and that life can only be so harsh. Hope is knowing that Jesus walks with us, and supports us in all that we do. Amen.
