Final preparations are underway so we can be ready to welcome 91 kids and 73 volunteers to ! After walk-ups, we’ll have about 100 kids and 75 more youth and adults roaming the church and learning about how Jesus is our Good Shepherd! Many thanks to all our volunteers who got everything decorated tonight!

Men, we are so excited to celebrate YOU this coming Sunday. Every man who's here at is going to get to spin this wheel and win one of a few prizes: gift cards to Railhead Station, Ace Hardware, Los Potros, or Choo Choo BBQ. Take heart, friends. If we have sin in our lives (and don't we all?!), when we are honest about our sin and confess it to God, he never fails to cleanse our hearts from that sin.

1 John 1:9: If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Hidden sin places a heavy burden on our shoulders and heart - a burden whose weight we can't truly grasp until after it has been removed by our loving and gracious God. All of us are carrying a burdensome load caused by the secrets we keep. For God to bring healing and lift that burden off our shoulders and heart, he simply asks for honesty. He will do the rest.

God is eager to forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). But, he does ask something very specific of us: confession. In order to confess our sins, we must be honest about our sin - honest with God, honest with ourselves, honest with someone we can trust, and honest with the people/persons we've hurt. Once we have done so, God lifts the heavy burden of sin off our shoulders.

This past Sunday, Pastor Zach asked a simple question: What does God ask of you and me if we are going to receive his healing, forgiveness, and cleansing from our sin? Honesty. God does not ask perfection of you and me if we are to receive healing, forgiveness, and cleansing. He simply asks that we be honest.

We were SO excited about playing some kickball today, but it looks like the weather’s not going to cooperate. So, we’re CANCELING today’s game and will hopefully reschedule on a date/time TBD.
