We had a fun Saturday exploring the Matanuska Glacier. We learned about how glaciers move, why the ice is different colors and we had a campfire and Bible Study at the end.

Next Saturday we are doing a day hike on the Matanuska Glacier. We are able to pick boys up in Palmer but parents or sisters can come too! This is a guided hike, gear is provided, just dress warm!

For our first CTO outing of 2026 we will visit the Matanuska Glacier, This trip has been popular in the past. The glacier ice is always changing. We might find a fun ice slide, an ice cave, or something else! Last year we saw a lynx near the glacier. We will meet at the 3 Bears gas station on the G....

Due to the wind hazards in the Matsu Valley we have cancelled our shooting night for Monday, December 8th. The location currently has no power and we suspect power will not be restored by tomorrow. In addition high winds are expected to still be an issue in the area so it would probably not be a fun situation. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and we hope to see you at our next event.

We have another shooting night on Lazy Mountain next Monday, December 8th, 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM!

Come join us for a fun night of snacks, outdoor activities and a Bible study on Lazy Mountain! We will start with a snack, a Bible study and a fun activity.

For this evening the activity will be shooting a "charging bear" target with BB guns (supplied). We will have a bear target pulled by either a 4 wheeler or snow machine that simulates a charging bear. Come see how you would do facing down a charging bear! We'll also have s'mores and, hot chocolate.

If you want to see if Cross Trail Outfitters is the place for you this is a great time to meet us and the boys who go on trips with us!
