Midweek Prayer from Pastor Boyd

Lord, we rise this morning with gratitude for the active presence of new mercies. Our hearts are consumed with an appreciation of the ever-present, all-knowing, and all-powerful God. To that God, You, we are grateful.

Yet, we are living at the intersections of gratitude and discontent, appreciation and anticipation, and hope and grief. Economic distress, political violence, death of children and elders, growing responsibilities, personal health dilemmas and the more. While others are embracing passion, purpose, call, imagination, and communal love. And still we sit with the reality of Karmelo Anthony, concern for our children and youth, and future of our people.

Father, we ask You to do what’s humanly impossible but fully possible through divine and holy intervention and collaboration. This is the Lord’s day and we declare that we will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
