On this day, as we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his Divine anointing to advocate for equality and liberty, let us remember that social and racial justice is rooted in God’s will and in the very mission of Jesus Christ.

To honor the legacies of both Jesus and Dr. King, let us, who are still present, commit to making choices and decisions according to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

1 John 3:16-17
