"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end" (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 11).
The weather lately has not truly been reflecting every season of the year. What is the spiritual weather in our lives? Do we know what season we are in right now? Are we trying to reap when we should be sowing? Is this our season of deliverance, healing, breakthrough, miracles, advancement or something else?
Often we have missed seasons in our lives because it did not appear the way we wanted it and it did not produce what we thought it would. What we believed to be a dry season was actually our season to grow in adverse conditions. Naturally we are in the season of spring, but there are days fall and winter have appeared. Even spiritually at times, we may be in the height of our spring and summer, but a bit of winter comes. Do not get upset or sidetracked by the occurrence, but learn the lesson.
Will we still have the same worship and praise during our fall and winter seasons? Think about it, when it is still 45 degrees in the summer, there are complaints about it. When it is 20 below in the winter, 45 degrees now feels wonderful. The rise and fall in temperatures around us will prove if will we yet remain faithful to the things of God.
Trials will come. Heartache will come. Gains and losses will come. All these things have their season in our lives. We must not let depression and doubt grip us when there is a seasonal change. Let us instead embrace what each season brings, weather the storm and keep pressing on in the name of the Lord.
Enjoy this Faith-Filled Friday.
