MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

HOW DO WE GIVE

Islam,

Yesterday in Sunday School I learned something; which is always a good thing. So today I’d like to engage in a conversation about “giving” to others, and the manner in which we give, or the reasons we don’t give.

One day a brother asked if I could spare some money for food, I offered to buy the brothers food from a nearby franchise, but the brother wanted to get his own food, so I didn’t get him anything. My thoughts were all wrong, as to what he would do with that money.

What I learned was that moment could have been a test from Allah, and if so, I failed. It is never my place to judge what someone may or may not do with anything that is given to them, humility and sincerity in giving and uplifting humanity is all that matters.

It’s not for us to pick and choose who we give too; or look for reasons to not give, that’s a clear sign that our hearts aren’t in the right place. Do we ever stop to think how humbling one must be to ask or even receive a hand. I know that whenever I have to ask for help from others; it’s never an easy task; not everyone are cheerful givers, some even like to boast about how they’ve helped someone. So remembering my own imperfections is ALWAYS key.

Search your hearts and minds, make sure that it’s pure with love.

Let’s see what Prophet Noble Drew Ali says:

The heart of the grateful man is like the clouds of heaven which drop upon the earth fruits, her age, and flowers; but the heart of the ungrateful is like a desert of sand which swalloweth with greediness the showers that fall, and burieth them in its bosom, and produceth nothing.

Envy not thy benefactor, neither strive to conceal the benefit he hath conferred; for though to oblige is better than to be obliged, though the act of generosity commandeth admiration, yet humility toucheth the heart, and is amiable on the sight both of Allah and man.

But receive not a favor from the hand of the proud; to the selfish and avaricious have no obligation; the vanity of pride shall expose thee to shame; the greediness of avarice shall never be satisfied.

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

WHO’S THE TEST FOR?

Islam Brothers & Sisters, I pray that your day is going pretty good so far and if it’s not, then hopefully this read will make it a little better.

Let’s tap into our thoughts to see what’s there today. I was thinking about how in life we must be tested. It is not for man to test us, but Allah, our dear Father tests us. Well, why do you think that’s so.

Hmm, well I’ll share what I think, but before I do, keep in mind that my thoughts are mine solely, just as your thoughts are yours. This is merely a conversation to get us to “THINK”.

So I think that whenever I’m tested it’s to show me exactly where I am, how I think, the thoughts that I hold or entertain and from that place I create conditions for myself.

It’s easy for me to assume that I’m ok, that I’ve gotten something under control in my life, and then here comes the test, which lets me know where my weaknesses and strengths are. Allah created me, He knows me better than I know myself, so He doesn’t need the test or for anything to be proven to Him because He knows EVERYTHING before it even takes place.

So tap into your thoughts and see what you come up with. Remember there’s no right or wrong answer; it just shows how you think and see things. We are all learning things in degrees.

Let’s see what the Prophet Noble Drew Ali has to share with us today:

In the depth of His mind, He revolveth all knowledge, the secrets of futurity lie open before Him.

The thoughts of thy heart are naked to His view, He knoweth thy determination before they are made.

With respect to His prescience there is nothing contingent; with respect to His providence, there is nothing accidental.

Wonderful He is in all His ways; His counsels are inscrutable; the manner of His knowledge transcendeth thy conception.

Pay therefore to His wisdom, all honor and veneration; and bow down thyself in humble and submissive obedience to His supreme discretion.

The Father is gracious and beneficent; He hath created the world in mercy and love.

MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

THE STATE OF MIND

Let’s take a moment today to really look at life (mines, yours); and ask ourselves; am I really and truly happy; and if the answer is yes or no, ask yourself WHY? What has made it so?

There is no right or wrong answer, but to know why gives us a broader and clearer understanding of life and how we’re approaching it.

Do we find ourselves doing a lot to acquire things, (houses, cars, clothes, jewelry, etc.), exploring foreign lands, working hard to store up a specific dollar amount in the bank for security purposes? If yes, let me say that there’s absolutely nothing at all wrong with any of it, as long as it’s not causing unrest and misery and we’re not depending on these things for eternal happiness or peace because these things only can give us moments of pleasure.

Peace and happiness are a part of a collection of precious stones along with other hidden treasures that can be obtained and never go away, from within our hearts; by working, but in a different way from which we work for carnal things. It’s a real simple process, by simply letting go of hatred, anger, bitterness, deceit, lust, greed, vanity, the list goes on and on, (again look at yourself, reflect).

Once we begin that process we will begin to experience HEAVEN here on earth.

Prophet Noble Drew Ali shares a parable that Jesus spoke to some people just like you and I. Check this out, and I pray that it blesses you as it did for me.

Allah never made a heaven for man; He never made a hell; we are creators and make our own.

Now cease to seek for Heaven in the sky; just open up the windows of your hearts, and like a flood of light a heaven will come and bring a boundless joy, then the toil will be no cruel task.

(I now skip to another gem)

And Jesus said: “The sons of men are toiling hard on desert plains, and burning sands, and rocky soils, are doing what their forefathers did, not dreaming that they can do aught else.”

Behold a master comes, and tells them of a hidden wealth; that underneath the rocky soil of carnal things are treasures that no man can count.

That in the heart the richest gems abound; that he who wills may open the door and find them all.

THE MIND IS TRULY A TERRIBLE THING TO WASTE❣️
