St. Basil Greek Orthodox Church Saint Basil is a Greek Orthodox Church located on the near West side of Chicago. Father Athanasios Minetos, Prositamenos St. Basil’s has to offer you.

As a parish we strive to be what Christ has ordained His church to be - a place of worship, service, fellowship, education and witness. As an inner-city parish we believe that we have a unique opportunity to be that "salt of the earth" and "light of the world" that our Lord directs His church to be. Basil Parrish is involved in many ministries to help spread the light and love of our Lord and to e

ducate, serve and increase fellowship in our community. With many programs including “Feed the Hungry”, “Prison Outreach Ministry” and the Philoptochos “Dress a Girl Around the World Program”, there is a place for every member to give back and engage with the community. 🚨 THIS SUNDAY! 🚨

Philoptochos is hosting a Picnic Luncheon benefiting Lincoln Park Community Services.

Every day, men and women arrive at Lincoln Park Community Services at their breaking point and with little hope.

At LPCS, they find hope and compassion. LPCS provides programs to help them overcome the issues that caused their homelessness - mental health support, addiction treatment, job training, and placement.

It is a blessed day when they graduate from the program and receive the keys to their own permanent apartment.

Philoptochos is hosting a Picnic Luncheon benefiting Lincoln Park Community Services.
