This Sunday we move into a new home for All Together Church at Hairpin Arts Center (with a 10:30 start!). Hairpin will be the 7th place we have called home over our decade-plus of existence, but if you were to count every house we gathered in for a dinner/brunch church, every park we met at for a walk, every random spot for whatever random thing we did together, we are probably looking at closer to 100 locations that our community has traveled to for the sake of doing church. It is remarkable to imagine all the intersecting lines across our city that paint some sort of divine image of what we do in the name of community and communion with the sacred.
The photo of Hairpin above was taken on March 12th, 2020. We were there to look at possibly renting it for a special dinner church we had planned. That same afternoon, public events with over 1,000 people were banned in Illinois, and things unfolded rapidly from there. Hard to believe this is happening! It has been quite a journey to get here, and we hope you will join us to celebrate.
