Ash Wednesday - February 22, 2023 - Greeters Needed

To the Greatest Ministry in the World!

Greeters are being asked to serve in the following way:

6:30am - 8:00am - The doors will open at 7:00am you will greet and direct people into the Sanctuary to receive ashes and prayer. Possibly pass out handouts (Need about 4 Greeters and someone to be the point person) Gate 4 will be the only gate open for this service.

6:00pm - 7:15pm - greet and direct people into the Sanctuary to receive ashes and have prayer. Bible Class will start at 7:00pm. (Ministers will be at the entrance of the Sanctuary administering the ashes) Handouts will be given before and after service. Gates 2 & 4 will be opened. Because they are expecting a larger than usual crowd, we will need 8 Greeters.

Just fyi, at Noon - 2:00pm there will be a virtual prayer (more details to follow) and a drive-up ash giving. No Greeters are needed at this time. But if you would like to come or let people know that this service will be available, please do so. People should enter at 115th Street.

Unless I hear something different, the uniform will be black tops and white bottoms.

Please let me (Pat) know, asap, if you are available to serve. Give me a call at 773-818-4114.

Praying that you and family had a blessed Christmas.

At Salem, we have a year-end tradition that we bring in the New Year in prayer at watch night service. This year's NYE service will be special as we continue to celebrate our Pastor and First Lady, and we are also honoring some of our long-time staff members and their continued work and service to our ministry. While the dress code is not strict, we are encouraging everyone to dress "up". The sanctuary will be transformed, and seating is first come first serve. In addition to all of that, our special musical guest will be Ms. Anita Wilson. We hope to see you Saturday night. Service starts at 10:30pm and doors open at 10:00pm.

The uniform for First Sunday, January 1, 2023, is your dressy black and white attire.
