Come play poker for a great cause!

Join the Men's Club for a fun night of socializing and poker to benefit Hamaniot--an Israeli organization that does important work helping Israeli orphans cope with trauma and loss.

Date: Wednesday, November 20, 2024
Place: Anshe Emet Synagogue 3751 N Broadway, Chicago
Time: Check-in opens at 6:15 PM, poker starts at 7:00 PM.
Cost: $36 buy-in gets you poker chips and refreshments (additional buy-ins $20 increments are allowed but not required)

Not an experienced player? No problem, beginners are welcome!

A portion of proceeds will be donated to Hamaniot, an Israeli organization that helps orphans cope with trauma and loss; they are currently doing important work addressing the growing needs for services for children who have lost parents due to the ongoing conflicts.

Our annual MEN'S CLUB Steak and Shots in the Succah event was held on October 3, 2023. What an outstanding evening! Gil Matar outdid himself once again with the preparation of a delectable kosher dinner--with the assistance of Brian Nagorsky and Stan Dreyfuss. We presented awards to our special honorees, Rabbi Benjy Forester and his wife Emily. Everyone's spirits also were raised by our wonderful spirits tasting from FEW Distillery of Evanston. Congratulations to our main event coordinator, Larry Kasova, and the rest of our MEN'S CLUB Board for another successful program. The profits were donated to help the homeless of Chicago. Thanks to Ralph Schatz for the great photos.

Our MEN'S CLUB had a fun outing to the United Center on November 21 to see the Chicago Bulls successfully battle the Boston Celtics .

Our annual MEN'S CLUB Steak and Shots in the Succah event was held on October 12, and it was a stellar evening. From the outstanding kosher dinner prepared by Gil Matar and assistants Brian Nagorsky and Stan Dreyfuss, to our special honoree, Senior Cantor Rachel Brook, to our wonderful spirits tasting from FEW Distillery of Evanston, it was a beautiful celebration. Congratulations to our main event coordinator, Larry Kasova, and the rest of our MEN'S CLUB Board for another successful program. The profits were donated to the Ark of Chicago. Enjoy the photos.

The Midwest Region of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs converged in Milwaukee on August 28, 2022 for a tailgate party followed by cheering their team of choice--the Cubs versus the Brewers. It was a great time for the many who attended, although the Cubs lost 9 to 7. Thanks to the Midwest Region and our Milwaukee Club for hosting. Enjoy the photos.
