Celebrant and embrace Indigenous Peoples Day. There are more than 476 million Indigenouse peoples in the world, spread across 90 countries and representing 5,000 different cultures. They make up 6.2% of the global population and live in all geographic regions.

Indigenous Peoples speak the majority of the world's languages.

Indigenous Peoples are more likely to be poor and vulnerable. More than 86% of Indigneous poples work in the informal economy and are nearly three times as likely to be living in extreme poverty.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge and honor
the Indigenous peoples of the world.
Bless them with Your abundant grace and wisdom.
May they continue to share their rich cultural heritage
and traditions with the world.
Grant them peace, prosperity, and
a deep connection to the land.
Through Christ our Lord.

At the National Shrine of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini in Chicago, they had a variety of ways in which to celebrate the 80th Anniversary of the Canonization and the birthday of Mother Cabrini.
Fr. Corey Brost, Executive Director of Viator House for Immigrants spoke on the Catholic Church and Immigration.
On Sunday, they had a beautiful Mass followed by a dove release in our garden.

Loving God,

You are the giver of all we possess,
the source of all of our blessings.
