Last Thursday, leaders and community partners from Little Village and across Chicago gathered at New Life Centers for our monthly My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Chicago Southwest/Latino Regional Meeting.

With summer approaching, the conversation centered on how neighborhoods across Chicago are working together to keep public spaces safe, active, and connected for the communities they serve.

A special thank you to Robert Castaneda, Executive Director of Beyond the Ball, for leading such a strong and thoughtful discussion. We’re also grateful to every leader and organization that joined the conversation, shared perspectives, and continues investing in communities across Chicago.

We also invite our community to continue supporting the work of MBK Chicago by joining the upcoming MBK Chicago March and Opportunity Fair as we kick off a summer rooted in safety, unity, and opportunity.
