Major progress in the Ceramic Studio today as our Green ReEntry participant leaders continue refining their wheel-throwing techniques. Grateful for moments like these in the middle of a busy day — a chance to slow down, create, and awaken our creativity.

Eid Mubarak 🌙 We pray for a blessed and nourishing Eid al-Adha for our communities in Chicago, Atlanta, and across the world.

May the Most High make this a blessed day filled with celebration, renewal and healing for you and all your loved ones.

“O Sustainer, remind us that the story of Islam is stitched into the fabric of our land and carried in the holy inscriptions of my ancestors whose bodies were shackled but whose spirits were never broken, preserving the sacred traditions of our faith. Let us be worthy inheritors of their perseverance.”

On this sacred day, we revisit the words of IMAN Cultural Organizer, Jannah Sellars, who—alongside Rep. and —stood in front of our State Representatives to remind us of the deep foundations of Islam in America and the sacred legacies that we all inherit.

Shaykh joining us at IMAN to share a powerful reminder about the bridge between knowledge, heart and intentional action.

His message challenged us to ensure that the wisdom we gather in our spiritual lives becomes the blueprint for how we advocate for justice in our streets.

We strive to embody this every day in our work, turning sacred principles into the physical and social transformation our community deserves.

Faith leaders, organizers, and powerhouse institutions joined us in person and online — including St. Sabina, Trinity United Church of Christ, Rainbow PUSH, Live Free IL, and many more — to plan, organize, and move toward The Fierce Urgency of Now: A National March into Marquette Park.

The spirit in the room was urgent, grounded, and ready.
If you or your institution are ready to stand with us, organize with us, and march with us, send us a message today.

Yesterday, hundreds of artists, faith leaders, organizers, and residents gathered at 63rd & Racine to make a clear demand: we will not stand by while our neighbors go hungry.

More than simply an event, the Save Our SNAP Block Party was an expression of joy, collective care, public witness, and community power — grounded in the belief that protecting and feeding the neighbor is a sacred and moral duty.

Deep gratitude to our partners, featured artists and speakers, Organizing Committee team and every community member who showed up and showed out to help bring this vision to life. This is what solidarity looks like.

We are live — join us at the Save Our SNAP Block Party, happening on 63rd & Racine until 5pm!!

Are you ready to step into a space where ideas turn into real plans for social change?

Every week, our Organizing Committee comes together to sharpen our understanding of power, practice the skills it takes to move it, and apply that learning directly to the campaigns shaping our communities—from protecting food access to fighting for long-overdue investment.

Whether you’re a resident or neighbor, community leader or someone simply interested in building your skills as an organizer — there’s a place for you here.

Much love to for showing up at IMAN today with not just with free vision tests, but with real access to care—the kind that gets through cost, insurance gaps, and systemic barriers.

Grateful for the way they made sure our Green ReEntry participant leaders and staff didn’t have to navigate that alone, providing complimentary glasses and restoring something as essential as sight with dignity.
