In honor of National Childhood Hunger Day, we’re celebrating our partnership with Blessings in a Backpack Chicago Chapter and the efforts of our volunteers in addressing childhood food insecurity in Chicago.

Throughout the school year, our volunteers pack bags of food for students at Chicago Public Schools, helping ensure kids have access to food over the weekends when school meals aren’t available.

Together, we pack over 11,000 bags of food in a given school year, supporting more than 400 children!

Thank you to our volunteers and Blessings in a Backpack for their continued commitment to fighting childhood hunger and building stronger communities.

What if we’ve been thinking about antisemitism the wrong way?

On October 8, acclaimed author Dara Horn joins Rabbi Amanda Greene at Chicago Sinai Congregation for a timely conversation exploring how antisemitism functions as a strategy to amass influence and power, why traditional efforts to combat it are failing, and what she believes could finally change the conversation.

Horn is the author of The Final Solution to the Jewish Question: A Love Story for the Living and People Love Dead Jews, and this evening offers an opportunity to hear directly from her and engage with these ideas in person.

Some of our Sinai students are spending part of their summer at OSRUI—making new friends, strengthening their Jewish identity, and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Rabbi Benoff served on faculty to spend time with our campers and share in the incredible community that makes summer camp so special.
