El libro de los Salmos es el libro más extenso de la Biblia, pues contiene 150 poemas, cánticos y oraciones que abarcan todo el espectro de la experiencia humana ante Dios. Sirve como el corazón devocional y de adoración de las Escrituras: una colección recopilada a lo largo de muchos siglos, con contribuciones de David, Asaf, los hijos de Coré, Salomón, Moisés y otros. A menudo se le denomina el himnario del antiguo Israel y sigue siendo el libro del Antiguo Testamento más citado en el Nuevo Testamento.

The Book of Psalms is the largest book in the Bible, containing 150 poems, songs, and prayers that span the full range of human experience before God. It serves as the devotional and worship heart of Scripture — a collection assembled over many centuries, with contributions from David, Asaph, the sons of Korah, Solomon, Moses, and others. It is often called the hymnbook of ancient Israel and remains the most quoted Old Testament book in the New Testament.

Padre Dios, muchas gracias por proveernos oraciones para esos momentos en los que las palabras se nos escapan; en el nombre de Jesús. Pídele al Espíritu Santo que te guíe hacia la Palabra que necesitas para HOY.

El libro de los Salmos es una escuela de oración y un espejo del alma. Te encuentra exactamente donde te hallas —tanto en épocas de triunfo como en épocas de lágrimas— y te remite, siempre, a la fidelidad de Dios. No promete una vida libre de dolor; promete un Dios que está presente en cada momento de ella.
