Daughters of Esther King Ahasuerus held a feast to display the vast wealth of his kingdom. But Queen Vashti, refused to come.

King Ahasuerus ordered his queen, Vashti, to appear before him and his guests, to show off her beauty. Furious at her refusal to obey, the King decided that she should be executed. Several beautiful and young virgin women were gathered to the palace from every province. Esther was advanced for this role by Mordecai, her cousin and guardian. Each woman underwent twelve months of purification treatm

ents, after which she would go to the King. When the woman's turn came, she was given anything she wanted to take with her from the harem to the king's palace. She would then go to the king in the evening, and in the morning return to the harem as his concubine. She would not return to the King unless he was pleased enough with her to summon her again. King Ahasuerus chose Esther for his wife because he was captivated by her beauty. Esther 2: 1-17

The Bible teaches that Esther spent a year preparing herself for her God-given task and then saved her people from destruction. In that year, Esther took time to beautify and develop herself spiritually with the help of a eu**ch, a servant to the king.
