St Joseph Parish - Chicago (Hermitage)

St Joseph Parish - Chicago (Hermitage) We have been a part of the Back of the Yards community for over a century. St. Joseph was formed, thanks to St. This year marks our 134th anniversary.

Mary of Perpetual Help Church, in 1887 as one of the first Polish parishes in the Back of the Yards/Stockyard neighborhood. The area was densely populated with Polish families, the same families that worked at the Stockyards and transformed this neighborhood into the community that it is today. In these 130+ year's our neighborhood has gone through many changes, but St. Joseph has stood the test o

f time. Even the street that this church was founded on changed from Page Street to Hermitage Avenue. Our community is fusion of cultures, languages and backgrounds. The following is our weekly mass schedule:

Monday thru Saturday: 8:30AM (Bi-lingual)

Sunday: 8:00AM (Spanish) | 10:00AM (Polish) | 12:00PM (Spanish) | 5:00PM (Spanish)
