🌿 Good Morning Worshippers! 🌿

There are moments in Scripture that demand our attention, not only because of what Jesus said on the Cross, but because of what He said before the Cross.

Today, as our Pastor, Rev. Dr. J. Rayford Goodwin, brings the Word, we invite you to lean into a powerful message:

✨ “Jesus’ Last Words Before Calvary” ✨
Scripture Focus: John 15:1–8

We often focus on the seven last sayings of Jesus from the Cross, and rightly so. Yet before Calvary, Jesus gave His disciples something vital: a blueprint for life in His physical absence.

Though He would no longer be with them physically, they were never meant to be disconnected from Him. Instead, they were called to remain deeply connected to Him spiritually.

Jesus declares:
🍇 “I am the True Vine…”
In this message, we will explore three powerful truths:
🔹 There is a Divine Obsession with Fruit
God is not merely concerned with appearance; He desires evidence of transformed life.
🔹 There is a Divine Expectation of Growth
A healthy connection to Christ produces continual spiritual maturity and development.
🔹 There is a Celebration of the Harvest
When believers abide in Christ, fruitfulness brings glory to God and blessing to His Kingdom.

If you’ve been feeling disconnected, stagnant, or spiritually dry, this Word is for you.
Come worship with us as we seek to remain rooted in Christ, growing in grace, and bearing much fruit for His glory.

🕚 Morning Worship Service Begins at 11:00 A.M.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come expecting God to move.

Good Morning, Worshippers!
💙 Happy Father’s Day! 💙

This Sunday, we invite you to join us for a powerful time of worship and a timely Word from the Lord at Mount Olive Baptist Church and Worship Center.

As we honor fathers, father figures, and the biblical spiritual covering they provide, we will also confront a sobering reality found in Scripture: the burden of fatherhood when faced with situations beyond human strength.

Our Pastor, Rev. Dr. J. Rayford Goodwin, will bring a life-impacting message entitled:
“A Father’s Day Dilemma”
📖 Scripture Focus: Matthew 17:14–21

In this passage, we witness a desperate father standing at the foot of the mountain, carrying the pain of his son’s suffering while seeking help from disciples who had no power to change the situation.

How do fathers respond when they’ve done all they know to do… and still face helplessness?
What happens when earthly strength runs out?
Where do we turn when only God can intervene?

This message will challenge, encourage, and remind us that what man cannot do, God still can.

Come worship with us as we celebrate fathers and encounter the transforming power of Jesus Christ.

🖤❤️💚 Happy Juneteenth from Mount Olive Baptist Church and Worship Center! 🖤❤️💚

Today, we take a moment to reflect on a pivotal event in African American history: June 19, 1865. This was the day when the final enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Juneteenth is more than a historical observance; it is a sacred reminder of resilience in suffering, faith in adversity, and hope for generations to come.

As people of faith, we recognize that freedom is not merely physical, but spiritual. God is a God of deliverance. Just as He heard the cries of His people in bo***ge, He remains faithful to bring liberty, healing, and restoration.

📖 “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free…” — Galatians 5:1

Today we honor the sacrifices of our ancestors, celebrate the strength of our community, and recommit ourselves to building a future marked by justice, dignity, and love.

May we never forget the price that was paid.
May we never stop pursuing righteousness.
May we continue to walk in faith, freedom, and purpose.

✨ Honoring Our Past. Celebrating Our Present. Building Our Future.

Happy Juneteenth!

🌿✨ FIRST SUNDAY WORSHIP INVITATION ✨🌿

Join us this First Sunday in June as we gather to worship, celebrate Holy Communion, and hear a powerful Word from the Lord through our Pastor, Rev. Dr. J. Rayford Goodwin, Pastor | Teacher.

Today’s Message:
“The Imperative of Transformation”
📖 Scripture Focus: John 15:1–8

Jesus declares in John 15:5:
“I am the vine, ye are the branches… for without me ye can do nothing.”
Many believers look to Romans 12:2 when discussing transformation, but Jesus revealed the foundation of transformation long before Paul expanded upon it. Romans 12 gives us the blueprint for transformation, but John 15 reveals the power source that makes transformation possible.

In this life-changing message, Pastor Goodwin will explore:
🍇 The necessity of remaining connected to Christ
🍇 Why transformation is impossible apart from Him
🍇 The difference between merely existing and bearing fruit
🍇 God’s desire for believers to produce much fruit for His glory
🍇 Why giving God the bare minimum falls short of His purpose for our lives

Jesus makes it clear that the Father’s desire is not simply that we survive spiritually, but that we thrive spiritually. As we abide in Christ, He cultivates, prunes, strengthens, and transforms us so that our lives become a testimony of His power and grace.

⏰ Corporate Prayer: 8:00 A.M.
⏰ Sunday School: 9:00 A.M.
⏰ Morning Worship: 11:00 A.M.

Come expecting worship that uplifts, fellowship that encourages, and a Word that challenges us to move beyond spiritual complacency into a life of continual transformation.

“For herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.” — John 15:8
