This brief witness from Dr. Dorothy Mensah-Aggrey, Ph.D., CPO, shines a light on the beauty of lay ministry, the richness of collaboration across cultures and vocations, and the sacred call to build the Church together. As an immigrant of African descent, a woman in ministry, and a leader in Catholic formation, she shares why NALM remains a home for dialogue, accompaniment, and the faithful service of God’s people.

Her invitation is simple yet profound: we stand on a foundation built by those before us. Now it is our turn to continue building, together, through our time, talent, and treasure.

The 2025 NALM Fall Appeal is underway!

We’re Building Bridges Beyond, and thanks to your generosity, we’ve already raised $2,425 toward our $12,500 goal in just one week.

Your gifts help NALM empower, advocate for, and develop lay ecclesial ministers serving across the Church. Every contribution moves us closer to reaching 50% member participation and sustaining our shared mission.

Help us continue building bridges beyond what we can see.

This September, NALM invites you to participate in one of four Conversations in the Spirit (two in Spanish and two in English). Together we will prayerfully reflect on our baptismal call, our co-responsibility for the Church’s mission, and the role of the laity today. Guided by the Holy Spirit, participants will share experiences and hopes for the future of lay ministry. Insights will be synthesized and submitted to the USCCB for the 2027 successor to Co-Workers in the Vineyard.
