“This profession of Islamic chaplaincy is not like other professions where people compete for the highest positions, the best paying jobs, the most honorific titles, and the most prestigious awards. Rather, we must aspire to be awliyâ’ (protecting friends) to one another...

“…We protect each other, we counsel each other, and we are sincere in the nasîhah (good advice) that we offer each other. Your success is deeply tied to my success, and my success is deeply tied to your success, and our collective success is deeply tied to the success of the ummah of the Prophet ﷺ. Therefore, our spirit of togetherness must be of deep sisterhood and brotherhood and of truly loving for each other what we love for ourselves.”

Alhamdullilah, another successful suhba-filled chaplains’ retreat in the books! ✅

We are immensely grateful for being able to have a most memorable, rejuvenating, and spiritually uplifting 4th Annual Sohaib Sultan Suhba Retreat for AMC members and families this past weekend in beautiful Colorado!

A huge shout out to our members, families, and friends who were able to join us in person, and for all who helped make this retreat happen behind the scenes through their countless hours, efforts, and prayers, whether in person or in spirit.

As we get ready to kick off AMC’s 4th Annual Sohaib Sultan Suhba Chaplains’ Retreat in Colorado, our executive board has been hard at work this week for two robust days of a little Board Retreat of their own!

Apart from focusing on program planning, fundraising, member engagement, and strategic development, the team also had a chance to enjoy a bit of the outdoors in beautiful Colorado!

Here’s to both a blessed Chaplains’ Retreat this week and an exciting year ahead for AMC!
