Today Roman Catholics reflect on the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
The Immaculate Heart of Mary (also known as The Sacred Heart of Mary) is a devotional name used to refer to the interior life of the Blessed Virgin Mary, her joys and sorrows, her virtues and hidden perfections, and, above all, her virginal love for God the Father, her maternal love for her son Jesus, and her compassionate love for all persons.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us.

The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ
Corpus Christi, the Solemnity of the Sacred Body and Blood of Jesus which is given to us in the Most Holy Eucharist, is a profound, prophetic and powerful Solemnity in the liturgical year of the Catholic Church.

This Solemnity honors Jesus Christ, Really, Truly and Substantially Present under the appearances of bread and wine. This Presence happens through the change which the Church calls transubstantiation (“change of substance”), when at the Consecration of the Mass, the priest says the words which Christ Himself pronounced over bread and wine, “This is My Body,” “This is the chalice of My Blood,” “Do this in remembrance of Me.”

Please join us for our Roman Catholic Masses: Saturday, June 6, 4:00 & 6:00 p.m., O'Hare; and on Sunday, June 7, at 9:00 and 11:00 a.m., both O'Hare and Midway.
