On this Holy Saturday of the Paschal Triduum, the world sits in silence with bated breath waiting for its King to rise. We are invited into this silence to contemplate the mystery of the tomb as we too await the Resurrection of the Lord.

While the ancient homily of Holy Saturday reminds us that God has gone out to seek those who fell asleep, let us keep watch and pray.

St. Alphonsus wants to hear from you! The parish is participating in this year's Disciple Maker Index Survey and this is a great way to provide your anonymous feedback on how the parish is doing. This survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. Your input is very important to us in helping to set the direction of the parish, so we hope you take the time to complete this survey. Theology on Tap is back!

Starting Wednesday, July 9, join us at St. Alphonsus for our annual Theology on Tap series – four weekly talks that will explore this year’s theme, “The Four Portraits of Christ.” Each session will illuminate the distinctive way one of the four evangelists portrays Jesus in their gospel narrative. Please join us as we host four amazing speakers!

The general program for each session is shown below. All talks will be given on the church veranda – if inclement weather, the talk will be moved to Festival Hall.

7:00pm: doors open, food and drinks available
7:30pm: talk begins
8:00pm: speaker Q&A
8:30pm: socializing
9:00pm: end of program

More information about each speaker will be coming shortly!
