Meet our new Intellectual Chair!

I’m blessed to serve as your YAM Intellectual Chair this year! I look forward to planning opportunities for our community to learn about the God who loves us through the gift of our intellect, in pursuit of a deeper relationship with Him. Our Catholic tradition is beautiful and rich and there’s always something new to learn!

In my free time, I love exploring Chicago (especially when there’s a coffee shop involved), spending time outside, reading and writing, practicing my fiddle & banjo, and volunteering as a catechist for St. Al’s RE program. If you have an idea for an event, study group, or speaker this year, I want to hear from you!

On this Holy Saturday of the Paschal Triduum, the world sits in silence with bated breath waiting for its King to rise. We are invited into this silence to contemplate the mystery of the tomb as we too await the Resurrection of the Lord.

While the ancient homily of Holy Saturday reminds us that God has gone out to seek those who fell asleep, let us keep watch and pray.
