Gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and rich in mercy. As I continue this day’s rest, I resist the urge to set my own feast table through grasping, planning, and escaping. Instead I open my hands to receive the joy that cannot be taken but is freely given — satisfy my desires with good things and renew my youth like the eagle’s. Amen.
