Join Emma Jacobson and an ensemble of Chicago-based musicians for a participatory concert gathering to kick off Selichot. During the month of Elul, the shofar is sounded each weekday morning, awakening us to the period of reflection on the past year and helping us to begin the process of teshuvah (returning) as the New Year approaches. This participatory concert will explore the soundscape of the songs of the High Holidays. Enjoy a nosh after the concert, and stay for the Selichot service!
