Resurrection Lutheran Church was planted in 1949 by Rev. Andrew Schulze at 9417 S. Lafayette Avenue. The fledgling congregation grew and on February 17, 1952, Resurrection was incorporated as a congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod within the Northern Illinois District. Rev. Moses Dickinson served as our first pastor and dedicated his life to the growth of the Kingdom of God in this place. Today, our sanctuary bears his name.
Resurrection moved to its current location in 1959 and completed its beautiful sanctuary in 1975. Despite the many changes down the years, one thing has remained unchanged: our commitment to know Jesus and make him known in Princeton/Ivy Park and beyond. We are proud to be Lutherans, holding fast to the knowledge that we are saved by God’s Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, as revealed in Scripture Alone, for the sake of Christ Alone, to the Glory of God Alone.
You are most welcome to join us on Sunday mornings. Sunday School is held at 9:30 and worship at 10:45. Watch this page for the announcement of additional services as they occur.
May God bless you in every area of your life. If we can spiritually uplift or assist you in any way, just drop us a line. We’d love to hear from you!
