At the end of September, RCM’s Executive Director, Kadie Verstrate, and Development Director, Lisa Thomson, attended the National Women’s Shelter Network Conference. RCM is a proud member of the growing The National Women's Shelter Network (NWSN). The network provides invaluable opportunities for connection, collaboration, education, and advocacy. We’re grateful for the The National Women's Shelter Network (NWSN)’s leadership in this aspect of our work and join them in spreading the message that Safe Shelters Save Lives AND Together We Are Stronger!

Our anniversary celebrations continued throughout the weekend, with an open house on Saturday, followed by a special worship service on Sunday. We were thrilled to welcome guest, Rev. Eddy Aleman, the General Secretary of the Reformed Church in America. Eddy Aleman Reformed Church in America (RCA)

At the opening of the service, a member shared, “I don’t know where I would have been if I hadn’t been here.” We’re giving thanks that for 50 years, people from all kinds of backgrounds and life experiences have found a place here.

Have You Heard of the City? On Thursday, our community, supporters, and friends new and old came together to celebrate 50 years of ministry in Roseland. The over 250 guests present heard from the board and staff as we reflected and celebrated the past and look forward with hope and excitement to the future. We are grateful for the generations of people who have shown up in countless ways as partners in this work. To God be the Glory!

This generous gift will make a direct impact on the hundreds of neighbors RCM serves each week. From sharing meals and providing safe shelter, to mentoring young people, we’re committed to meeting needs and walking alongside our Roseland community.

For 50 years, Roseland Christian Ministries has been shaped by a simple conviction: to look at this community and see what God sees. By His goodness, and through partners like you, a congregation has grown, ministries have emerged, and lives have been transformed. As we enter our next 50 years, we carry that same vision forward—imagining a community that is safe, thriving, and caring for one another. We are not finished. We are just getting started.

Join us October 1-4 as we celebrate the past and look forward to the future in hope. Your presence and partnership matter!

Visit https://roselandchristianministries.yapsody.com/ for info and to purchase tickets to the banquet.
