The results are in! More than 34,000 votes were cast to help select the 15 winners of the 2026 Cubs Charities Community Awards, presented by the Robert R. McCormick Foundation. 💙

Each winning organization will receive a $10,000 grant to continue making a difference for Chicago youth through sports and education.

Come with us to distribute 5,000 pounds of food through our weekly food pantry. Over 80 households come through the line, representing thousands of individuals annually. Thank you for helping us feed our neighbors.

On Friday we were pleased to be the host site for 05th District and Chicago Police Department’s Office of Equity and Engagement’s Unhoused Affinity Liaisons Community Connections Southside Resource Fair! Multiple community resource groups came together for a morning of outreach specifically designed for the unhoused in our community. We’re grateful for the leadership in this effort from the CPD as we continue to grow our network of resources for our community.

Back to School means Education Sunday at RCM! At church we heard an inspiring message from Corey Hardiman-Antonio Hardiman- about wisdom. Following the service we handed out over 100 school supply kits— Hope Packs from our partner, Elim Christian Services! Everyone also got a backpack from our friends at The Dawn Brancheau Foundation and PastorJamie and The Springs Community Church, as well as a new pillow, pillowcase and water bottle. We are praying for a great year for our youth!

Every July RCM hosts a free, 3-day/week summer camp for the youth in our community. This year we had one of our largest groups yet--over 80 kids registered! From gardening, to robotics, to field trips, to music and dance, and even reptiles (!), we had a full month of fun, mentorship and growing together.
