Donald knows what it is like to lose nearly everything. Addiction eventually left him homeless and searching for a new direction.
But at Pacific Garden Mission, Donald discovered that what the world sees as having nothing can look very different through the eyes of faith.
“People may look at someone who’s homeless and think they have nothing, but when you have Christ, you have everything.”
Today, Donald is no longer the man who came to PGM needing help. He is now a member of our staff, serving others and sharing the hope he found in Jesus Christ.
A new life is possible.

PGMTV Ep. 465 - Finish What You Started

Testimony:
Kenneth spent many years battling addiction while carrying the pain of family struggles, the loss of his young son, and the breakdown of his marriage. Though he had always believed in God, he eventually found himself feeling spiritually distant and overwhelmed by depression. Seeking more than sobriety, Kenneth came to Pacific Garden Mission to reconnect with Jesus Christ. Through the New Life Program, counseling, Bible study, and fellowship, he is finding healing, renewed hope, and a stronger relationship with the Lord. Today, Kenneth is grateful for the opportunity to rebuild his life and grow in his faith.

Sermon: “Finish What You Started”: In Finish What You Started, Pastor Phil reminds believers that while God may have already brought victory and transformation into their lives, the Christian journey is not finished. Using Joshua 13:1 and Ephesians 6, he emphasizes that there is still "much land to be conquered" through continued spiritual growth, perseverance, and obedience. The sermon highlights the reality of spiritual warfare, the persistence of the enemy, and the importance of pressing forward in faith, trusting that God will provide the strength needed to finish the work He has begun.

Since 1877, Pacific Garden Mission has been a place of refuge and transformation. Millions weary of struggling through life's storms, have come to the "Old Lighthouse” seeking food, shelter, clothing, medical, and dental care.

Scrambled eggs, sausage, and a generous helping of grits.
Now for the important question: Who doesn’t like grits? 😄
We’re not saying there’s a wrong answer... but the breakfast line may have opinions.
Every day, PGM serves hot, hearty meals to men, women, and children in need. And yes, sometimes grits are on the menu!

At PGM, our Mothers & Children’s Ministry provides a safe and caring place where moms and their children can find shelter, support, and the hope of a new beginning.
And apparently, a few extra helping hands too! 😊
