Even amid escalating violence in the region, children in the Maronite Diocese of Batroun, Lebanon, were able to receive First Holy Communion. Through the support of the Missionary Childhood Association (MCA), children in Chicagoland Catholic schools and parish religious education programs have helped six parishes provide prayer books and spiritual formation activities for children preparing to receive First Eucharist.
