“If God Wills” should be three words that mark your life. My calendar belongs to God. My opportunities, my plans, my future, and all of my life. I’ve offered my body as a living sacrifice.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is keep doing what God already told you to do. You don't always need a new assignment. Sometimes you need fresh courage for the assignment you already have. Don't confuse exhaustion with release.

Summer has a way of disrupting our normal rhythms. Vacations/travel, kids' sports, changing schedules, and time away can all be good gifts. But as the school year begins and familiar routines return, September gives us an opportunity to be intentional about the rhythms that help us follow Jesus.

This month, we're inviting our entire church family to draw near to God and to one another through faithful worship, intentional discipleship, and steps of obedience.

Welcome Back Sunday—Sunday, September 13th—is an invitation to return to the faithful rhythm of gathering with the household of God at Chi West. Make Sunday worship a priority for you and your household as we worship, hear God's Word, encourage one another, and grow together as disciples of Jesus.

If your identity is rooted in your assignment, every transition will feel like an identity crisis. If you have to keep the position in order to know who you are, the position has become your identity. Your assignment is something God gives you to steward; it was never meant to become something you need in order to feel significant.

In Acts 18, Paul stays in Corinth despite persecution, working and preaching the Gospel. Later, he is called to leave. At the beginning of the chapter, staying was obedience. After a year and a half, leaving was obedience. Faithfulness is responding appropriately to God's leadership in each season because we are driven by devotion to Him.

A lot of people have a schedule, but they don't have a sense of purpose. They know what they have to do tomorrow, but they don't know what God has called them to do with their life. Questions to ask yourself: Do I know who I am in Christ? Do I know what I’m called to devote my life to for Christ? Where am I supposed to live that out right now?

👉🏽 Join us on Sundays at 9am or 11am as we delve into the book of Acts. 📖

A new church is taking root on the Southside of Chicago.

Through our Multiply campaign, Garden City Church is being planted to make disciples who love God, love people, and seek the good of the city. The heart is to see a multiethnic community of all generations and backgrounds experience renewal through life in Jesus.

Join us Sunday, August 30th during the morning services at Chicago West for the special commissioning of the Garden City Church team, under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Copeland!

Your testimony tells people what God has done for you. The gospel tells people what God has done for the world.

In Acts 17, Paul is grieved by the idols of the city but it doesn’t decrease his love for the people of the city. If we want to have God’s heart for the city, we must see both the idols and the image bearers.
