PREPARING FOR WORSHIP
This Sunday at 10:00am, we conclude "The Vocabulary of the Victorious" with Ecclesiology: Back to the Blueprint from Ephesians 2:19-22. This text reminds us that the church is not a place we attend, it is a people God is building, fitted by grace, founded on Christ, and filled with the Spirit.

Ecclesiology (noun): the study of the church, what God designed it to be, who Christ calls it to become, and how it witnesses in the world.

What a Great Day at Carter Temple! 🔥🕊️

Pentecost Sunday was full of spirit, joy, healing, and community. Many came dressed in the color of the day, white, as we celebrated the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. Our ushers looked beautiful in pastels as they celebrated their special day, the Daughters of Esther Choir blessed us in song, and we rejoiced as souls received baptism. 🙌🏾💧

We also shared a powerful Mental Health Moment, reminding us that healing is holy - and the church must be a place where people can bring their whole selves before God.

Pastor Gordon preached from Acts 2:1-4, reminding us through the message, “The Wind Still Blows,” that the same Spirit that moved in the upper room is still moving in the church, still moving in our lives, and still moving among God’s people. 🌬️

After worship, Cute as a Cupcake, a Black woman-owned business, helped us kick off the holiday weekend with sweet treats for the congregation. 🧁🖤

God is still blowing fresh wind at Carter Temple! ✨

Carter Temple family, we’re kicking off Memorial Day weekend with something sweet! Following worship this Sunday, The Cutie Cupcake Truck, a Black-owned mobile dessert experience from Cute as a Cupcake, will be onsite serving handcrafted cupcakes and Cupcakes in a Jar!

Cupcakes will be available while supplies last - so stop by outside after worship and enjoy a sweet start to the holiday weekend 🧁
