Eid Mubarak to all of the DePaul UMMA Community and everyone else ! May Allah accept your fasts and prayers and generosity and all of your other good deeds from this blessed month. Some of us already know that we will be celebrating Eid tomorrow and some are waiting to see if it will be Monday or Tuesday. We do not have Eid Prayers on Campus but on tomorrow Monday the Downtown Islamic Center next door to the Loop Campus will be having Eid Prayers at 8:30. Also, I will be inshAllah leading the Eid prayer at the American Islamic College, 640 W. Irving Park Rd. Monday morning at 9 am. I would love to have some of you join me there. In any event I pray that your Eid Celebrations are blessed time with friends and family. Don't do anything sinful, but try your best to enjoy yourself. Indeed, even with of all of the hardships and struggles we see locally and around the world, Eid is a time set aside by Allah for celebration, a time when being happy and enjoying yourself is an act of worship, of obedience to God. --- Abu Noor
