ANNUAL GRADUATION RECOGNITION

Our Annual Graduation Recognition will be held on Sunday, June 21, 2026 during our Sunday Worship Service. A Recognition Luncheon to honor our graduates, will follow in the Parish Hall.

REVISIT THE DREAM

On Sunday, July 12, 2026, during our 10:30 am worship service, we will celebrate the 60th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s historic visit to First Immanuel. After worship service, we will fellowship in the parish hall where our special guest, Tonika Lewis Johnson, will do a special presentation of “The Folded Map Project”. Ms. Lewis Johnson is an award-winning multifaceted artist, photographer and social justice artist. In 2025, she was one of 22 people named as MacArthur Fellows, a prestigious fellowship awarded to exceptional, creative and aspiring people.

TABITHA'S CLOSET - FREE CLOTHING GIVE AWAY!!!

Come one - Come all. Come shop the closet! Tabitha’s Closet is back with a free clothing give away on Sunday, May 31, 2026 from 12 noon-2 pm. The clothing will be displayed in front of the church, weather permitting, or in Friendship House at 1134 South Ashland Avenue.

On Saturday July 18, 2026, our beloved Mr. George E. Manning II, will be honored by the City of Chicago in a commemorative, street naming ceremony for his outstanding contributions to the City of Chicago. The ceremony will be held at 2:00 pm on the corner of Menard St. and Midway Park. Let's show our love to George and the Manning family with our attendance at this unforgettable event. The suggested attire is Summer White!

WEDNESDAY BIBLE STUDY

Join us Wednesday, May 27, 2026 for Bible Study. Bible Study will be offered in person and via Zoom. If you are joining us in person, a light supper will be served at 6:00 pm in the Parish Hall. Bible study will begin at 6:30 pm.
