As Saint Paul wrote, hope in the Lord does not disappoint, so we have the courage to give voice to our needs with the confidence that God answers our prayers.
For the Church, that we extend God’s love, mercy, and kindness to the world, especially to those most in need, becoming a more and more effective and powerful witness to God’s goodness, let us pray to the Lord.
That leaders around the world may take Saint Paul’s words to heart, mending their ways, finding agreement with one another, and living in peace, let us pray to the Lord.
For those preparing for their wedding day, that the union of their love in marriage may reflect the divine love of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, let us pray to the Lord.
For those whose sinfulness has led them away from God and the body of Christ, the Church, that they may feel remorse for their sinful actions and may find mercy beyond what they deserve from God and from the community, let us pray to the Lord.
For students and teachers, that they may enjoy the rest and renewal of a summer break, let us pray to the Lord.
For all who are ill in body, mind, or spirit, especially: Veronica Geiss, Patti Pauletto, Greg Knapp, Brian Styka, Piper McFarland, Walter Plebanski, Melanie Mcallister, Carol Ghezzi, Patrick Delaney, Mike Truskoski, Theresa Fitzgerald, Diana Latin, Jean Papagianis, Sylvia Aziyu, Dionisia Fernandez, Jesus Rivera, and all the sick of our parish, let us pray to the Lord.
For those who have entered into eternal life, especially: Kevin Reardon, Sheila Faut, Magdalena Beha, Ernesto Sahagun, and all who have died this week, let us pray to the Lord.
To close our petitions today, let us pray our Campaign Prayer:
Lord of all hopefulness, make us instruments of a new creation. With all that we have received, give us generous hearts. From the storehouse of our souls, draw forth a spirit of self-sacrifice. Out of our abundance, encourage charity.
O Divine Master, grant us the grace to pass on to our children all we hold dear. Support us till our work is done and bring us to a holy rest. For your mercy extends from age to age; your abiding love lasts from generation to generation. Amen.
