Jesus is in our midst even as we call to mind our needs so, with confidence we ask that God hear our prayers and respond with mercy and love.

For the Church, that we may respond with open minds and softened hearts to constructive criticism we receive so that we may be better able to preach the gospel to the world, let us pray to the Lord.

For all those who labor to make our lives and our world better, that they may enjoy respect, safe working conditions, and a living wage, let us pray to the Lord.

For those who lost loved ones on September 11, 2001, twenty-five years ago this week, and all those who were affected by this tragedy and all acts of terror and violence, let us pray to the Lord.

That we may always love our neighbor as ourselves, treating each other as we wish to be treated, let us pray to the Lord.

For those who struggle to find the employment necessary to provide for themselves and their families, that they may know the generosity of this community of faith, let us pray to the Lord.

For those who suffer from illness, and for their caregivers, especially: Greg Knapp, Larry Muench, Brian Styka, Piper MacFarland, Irma Guahardo, Sylvia Aziyu, Pablo Sawal, Kathleen Kelly, Betty Avila, Carole Brown, Feodor Catama, Miguel Guahardo, Mike Truskoski, Walter Plebanski, and all the sick of our parish, let us pray to the Lord.

For those for whom we grieve, especially: Chandrathil Joseph, Samantha Limon, George Kunz, all who have died this week, let us pray to the Lord. Amen.

Labor Day Blessing

Dear God, We thank You for this Labor Day. Bless the men and women who serve in our workforce, and grant them strength and protection in their work. Bless, too, those who courageously seek to build fairer and more just working environments for all our brothers and sisters. Bless all of us as we gather to rest and recreate during this holiday weekend. Amen.

The parish offices will be closed on Labor Day. Regular morning Masses will be celebrated at 6:30 am and 8:30 am.

For those who educate students at every level about our faith, bearing witness to their own faith as they teach scripture, doctrine, and morality, let us pray to the Lord.

That those who are having difficulty accepting or carrying their crosses may find in our faith community a source of strength and mutual assistance, let us pray to the Lord
