Come rain or shine, Principal, Irma Quintana and Iglesia NuevaVida 316 member & volunteer, Ruth, are out and about helping to distribute free school supplies as part of an annual "Back to School" Rally that NewLife Christian School hosts to assist in reaching out to Chicago's Belmont-Cragin neighborhood.
Thanks to Irma & Ruth for their eternal dedication.

On Saturday, July 14th, NewLife Christian School (NLCS) in Chicago hosted its Back 2 School Fest 2018 for the surrounding Belmont-Cragin community.

Over 200 book bags with school supplies and 75 grocery bags with non-perishable food and canned goods were distributed. Capelli Academy of Cosmetology II, Inc. was also at the event. Several of its hairstylists provided free haircuts to literally all who were in attendance. Parents and even volunteers got a chance to get in on the fun and were blessed to receive complimentary, mini-makeovers. Hot dogs & bottled water were also provided.

It would be impossible to measure the effects of the love, gratitude and appreciation that could visibly be seen warming the hearts of all who were involved. God's love was especially on full display by Nina Contreras, the organizer behind this community outreach event. She worked diligently in the rain together with members of NewLife 316 Church & La Iglesia De Dios to ensure that the supplies would reach the children and families for whom they were intended.

Even though the total impact of everyone's efforts on this day may never be known, we do celebrate in the certainty that every child, parent and volunteer are better off because of the love they received by others or because of the love they shared.

March 07,2018 - New Life Christian School held its very first McTeacher's Night on Wednesday, March 7th, at the newly remodeled McDonald's on Cicero Ave. in Chicago and had a great night.

On March 7th, the restaurant was again taken over by teachers and staff members from New Life Christian School excited to serve freshly prepared meals to students and their families to raise money for the school. Pastor Nelson Quintana dressed up in a Pie Box Costume to help raise funds for the school and student Desiree Carrasco assisted with the pie sales and did a fabulous job. Otto Blanco worked very hard at the drive-thru window raising money for the school and he had a blast.

Seven teachers/staff worked from the school including Principal Irma Quintana and Pastor Nelson Quintana who volunteered the entire night. Teacher Otto Blanco worked hard all night at the drive-thru.

New Life Christian School plans to use the money raised to pay bills for the school.
