Open Arms Ministry Open Arms was founded in 2016 to unite two existing church-based ministries: New Community Covenant Church's Open Arms (formerly Warming Center) and St.

Open Arms Ministry, located in the Logan Square neighborhood of Chicago, supports and partners with those struggling with homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity. Open Arms Ministry is a non-profit organization located in the Logan Square neighborhood on the northwest side of Chicago supporting and partnering with those affected by homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity. rch’s Elijah's Pantry. We believe that all people have been created by a God who loves them and they are deserving of dignity, respect, and opportunity. People facing homelessness and food insecurity must navigate a wide range of challenges, and we believe it is important to assist them in their journeys by meeting our guests’ essential day-to-day needs while connecting them to long term support within the context of a caring community. Open Arms Ministry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; gifts are tax-deductible. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! We need on-site volunteers between the following hours:
Tuesdays 9:30am - 3pm
Wednesdays 9:30am - 6pm

Open Arms Ministry, a faith-based nonprofit, works with those experiencing hunger and homelessness. We have a weekly drop-in for hot meals, toiletries, clothes, and other resources. We also hold a weekly food pantry. For the next 4 days, we'll be hosting a Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser.

For the duration of December, Open Arms Ministry will be collecting winter coats & other necessary cold-weather clothing. These items will be distributed to help people stay warm in this Chicago winter weather. We are collecting new & gently used winter coats, gloves, scarves, and winter hats.
