Annual Membership Meeting

The Oak Park Church of Religious Science Annual Membership meeting is scheduled for Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm.

We invite you to join us to review this past year and establish in Mind our intentions for our Church for the coming year and beyond. This Annual Membership Meeting will feature the Annual Financial Report, Committee Reports, Board of Trustees elections, and the Senior Minister’s Message.

All members and friends of the church are invited to attend. This is a business meeting and a legal quorum of members is required to conduct the meeting. If you are a member please attend if possible. If not, please return the proxy that will be mailed out.

World Peace Healing Meditation (Online Gathering)

For this healing meditation, the gatherings begin at precisely the same moment all around the world. This practice was started in 1984 by John Randolph Price, and the Oak Park Church of Religious Science have participated every year since our inception in 1989. Let there be Peace on Earth and let it begin with us.

From the comfort of your home, join more than 500 million people from an array of faith traditions and philosophies, across seven continents meditating simultaneously for peace.

In our celebration to honor peace, we will sing songs and have inspirational ideas shared by church leadership, as well as a silent meditation. We will each affirm peace aloud and within and lift ourselves up to do our part to reveal the wholeness of the world. It is truly an amazing experience to sense the consciousness and the presence of hundreds of millions of people sharing this same time of peace, and it is a profound way to end 2025 and begin 2026!

Candlelight Service
Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2025
7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Join us in this profound celebration during this special, sacred time of year of us being the Light that we are in the World. This is a moving service filled with music, beautiful readings, an inspirational message from our Senior Minister, and a candle lighting ceremony. The church offers a "Gift to Myself" -- a treatment request fulfilled for free by one of our Licensed Practitioners. Light refreshments and hospitality will follow the service.

Upcoming one-day workshop: Creative Meditation.

Join the Oak Park Church of Religious Science for this powerful full-day workshop -- Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. "My Prayer for My Country"

Believing in the Divine Destiny of the United States of America and in the preservation of liberty, security, and self-expression for all, I offer this, my prayer for my country:

I know that Divine Intelligence governs the destiny of the United States of America, directing the thought and the activity of all who guide its affairs.

I know that success, prosperity, and happiness are the gifts of freedom and the Divine heritage of everyone in this country; that they are now operating in the affairs of every individual in this country.

I know that Divine Guidance enlightens the collective mind of the people of this country, causing it to know that economic security may come to all without the loss of either personal freedom or individual self-expression. I know that no one can believe or be led to believe that personal freedom must be surrendered in order to insure economic security for all.

The All-knowing Mind contains the answer to every problem which confronts this country. I know that every leader in this country is now directed by this All-knowing Mind and has the knowledge of a complete solution to every problem. Each is impelled to act upon this knowledge to the end that abundance, security, and peace shall come to all.

And I know that this Spiritual Democracy shall endure, guaranteeing to everyone in this country personal liberty, happiness, and self-expression.

SPECIAL SUNDAY SERVICES AUG. 17 AND AUG. 24

Join us on Aug. 17 and Aug. 24 at our regular Sunday Celebration time of 10:30 am for our Summer Sundays Taizé Service.

We will celebrate with singing, meditations, spiritual readings, music, and chants.

Key aspects of a Taizé service in Religious Science:

Meditative Focus: It emphasizes inner reflection and connection with the divine, aligning with the belief in the unity of all life and the presence of a Universal Mind or Spirit within each individual.

Music and Chants: Repetitive chants and songs, often simple and meditative, are a central part, helping to quiet the mind and open the heart for spiritual connection.

Silence and Contemplation: Periods of silence are included, allowing for deeper introspection and listening to the inner wisdom, a practice encouraged to connect with the divine presence within.
