Please share the below information regarding a shuttle bus for Sunday Masses, as stated in Father Michael O’Connell’s letter in the latest bulletin:

“Although we have many reasons to enter this season of joyful anticipation with happy hearts, we acknowledge our continued sadness at the closing of Our Lady of Victory Church. All parishioners of Our Lady of the Rosary are challenged this Advent
to ensure that our brothers and sisters from O.L.V. are welcomed to our two worship sites, Saint Bartholomew and Saint Pascal. A handicap accessible bus will be in the [OLV] parking lot at 9:30 AM each Sunday, starting November 28 to bring those who wish to make use of the service to the 10:00 AM Mass at Saint Bartholomew. Of course, after Mass, transportation will be provided back to OLV. We shall arrange for the doors of the school, closest to the church parking lot to be open and chairs provided in case of inclement weather.”

Update for all parishioners: As of last night, the archdiocese is considering new guidelines for the rise of cases of the Delta Variant.

It should also be noted that, as of now, this is affecting suburban Cook County and not the City of Chicago (yet).

While these guidelines continue to change and shift, sometimes in imprecise language, we are doing are best to communicate as effectively as we can.
I think the shortest and easiest guideline is:

If you're sick in any way, stay home; use a mask if you feel ill and wash hands frequently.
If you are immuno-compromised in any way, wear a mask and be vigilant about your distancing.
If you are vaccinated but feeling sick, consider staying home but at the very least wear a mask.

We are still streaming are masses for the time being for those that cannot be there in person.

A big thing is to be mindful of our own personal health and make informed decisions. We will communicate any new policies from the Archdiocese as quickly as we can.

An Act of Spiritual Communion

My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen

Here are some photos of last week's street naming ceremony and farewell mass for Fr. Michael. Thank you for everyone who showed up on this beautiful Sunday and made it such a success. It was also great to see so many smiling faces inside church and to hear you singing again!

We hope to share some footage of the event later; please be patient!
