Leaders across The United Methodist Church are exploring the future of U.S. jurisdictions, and the Connectional Table is at the heart of these conversations. 🌍

As part of a working group with the Standing Committee on Regional Conference Matters outside the U.S., the Connectional Table is helping study how regional structures might evolve to better support a global church. Through prayer, dialogue, and research, we are discerning faithful ways for the church to move forward together as we live into a regional structure.

CT Communications in Action!

The Connectional Table is structured into two working groups and five subgroups to strengthen its work, including a Communications subgroup. Today, our Communications subgroup had its first meeting of 2026. It was a productive session with great discussions and exciting plans for the year ahead. Looking forward to all that’s to come! 💬📅

As we journey through these weeks of waiting, may we be reminded that Advent is not only a countdown to Christmas, but an invitation to slow down, to reflect, and to anticipate the new possibilities God is preparing among us.

Connectional Table in Manila! 🇵🇭
The Connectional Table gathered in Manila for its annual in-person meeting — a time of prayer, discernment, and deep conversation about the future of our United Methodist connection.
As part of our time together, we were blessed to participate in mission encounters at the Kapatiran-Kaunlaran Foundation, Inc., Mary Johnston Hospital, and the United Methodist Church Headquarters in Manila. Each visit offered a powerful witness to the ways United Methodists are living out the gospel through service, healing, and community transformation.
We are deeply grateful for the hospitality of our Filipino siblings and for the Spirit’s presence among us as we continue working toward a more just, missional, and connected church.

This June, as we observe Juneteenth, we remember the long journey toward freedom and justice—and the continuing work of liberation in every community.

The Connectional Table stands in solidarity with all those who work for equity and healing within The United Methodist Church and beyond. We believe that reflection inspires transformation, and connection is a path to that transformation.

Yesterday, we came together for our CT Board Meeting—connecting across countries and time zones to advance our shared mission! 🌍✨

We had board members joining from Mozambique, Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Philippines, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and many states across the U.S. It’s always inspiring to see how our global team comes together, even virtually, to strengthen our connection and commitment to meaningful work.

Over the past three years, the Connectional Table has brought together over 1,000 United Methodists in Africa, Europe, the Philippines, and the U.S. to discern the vision of the UMC through conversations about the identity, vision, connectionalism, and mission of the UMC. One of the legislation proposals on the docket for General Conference 2020 in 2024 is a series of proposals for "regionalization" in the UMC. In preparation for GC 2020 in 2024, the Connectional Table, UMCOM, Standing Committee on Central Conference Matters, and the Christmas Covenant have compiled a toolkit of online resources introducing regionalization and the proposed legislations.
