Youth and Family Scavenger Hunt
"And let them make Me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it."
Exodus 25:8-9 NKJV
God Bless you and your family. We continue to pray for peace and love in each of your homes. We would like to invite all youth, their families, and anyone else who is bored and stuck at home to go on a little scavenger hunt with us around your house. Today we will take a trip back in time and think about God's physical home (dwelling place) here on earth, while He dwelled with Moses and Israelites in the desert after God displayed His mighty power and control over Pharaoh and his army at the Red Sea. God's dwelling place here on earth was call the Tabernacle. It was a place where the Israelites (believers) gathered and had their priests lead worship. However back then before Christ's death on the Cross, Resurrection from the grave, Ascension into Heaven, and the sending of the Holy Spirit; believers would give priests animals to sacrifice at the altar outside of the Tabernacle to have God forgive them for their sins. However we know the Good News (Gospel) that because of Christ's selfless sacrifice on the Cross, the whole world has been forgiven for their sins and made right with the Father. Animal Sacrifices are no longer needed because of God's love (John 3:16).
With that we would like to issue a challenge to everyone reading this.
1. READ Leviticus 9:22-24
2. TALK ABOUT this question with family or friends who might be at your house now. "God dwelled with the Israelites while in the Tabernacle. Today He does the same thing by dwelling in our homes and hearts. How are you spending time with God in your house now, while things outside of your house may seem confusing, scary, or out of our control?"
3. REMIND each other that our God is all powerful, in total control, and loves us so much that He died so that we wouldn't have to and He calls us sinners (Roman's 5:8) Redeemed, Holy, Forgiven, Loved, and His children.
4. LOOK UP AND TAKE PICTURES around your house of things that represent or look like items that were in the Tabernacle.
You will need pictures of the following.
-Bronze Altar
-Brass Lover
-Table of showbread
-Golden Lamp stand
-Altar of incense
-Curtain that Separated Holy of Holies
-Ark of the Covenant
-Picture of all who participated
5. POST your (8) pictures on Facebook with

THERE WILL BE A PRIZE (gift card to Walmart). ALL THOSE WHO PARTICIPATE AND POST THEIR PICTURES WILL BE ENTERED INTO A DRAWING TO WIN A PRIZE. Bonus question/picture take a picture of the things that are inside the Ark of the Covenant. Look everything up in your Bible not Google. Spend some time in your Word this week.
