Hi Soul Umoja,
As you all know, we are planning a Reunion Concert for April 25th. This is going to be a big event, and we have reserved Assembly Hall in International House, which seats 200-300 people.
We are looking for someone to help with planning the concert. No prior event planning experience is needed, and as long as you are excited about the concert, that is enough!
What is the time commitment? Prior to the concert, you would need to attend occasional meetings before or after rehearsal (we can work around your schedule). Other than those meetings, you would need to communicate over email about the concert and complete assigned tasks which can be done on your own time. The week of the event, and especially the 24th and 25th, you would need to help set-up for the event.
What tasks would I be helping with? Keeping track of receipts for reimbursement, assisting with advertising efforts, which would include emailing RSOs, University Departments, and local organizations, and other miscellaneous tasks (such as reserving catering, printing, etc.).
