Linda Jones mentioned Golgotha Church last year with a 1934 Confirmation Class photo. She wrote "My Mom just passed away. Found this picture of her brother, Wilbur's class of 1934. Golgotha Ev. Lutheran Church 67th and Marquette. They used to live on 66th and Wolcott.. My Mom and her brothers attended the school there.. My Grandma Kloppmann was very involved with the church along with my Uncle Wilbur.. I can remember walking to the church as a kid."
I colorized it and used it in this collage.

Founded by Rev. William L. Mueller in 1910, the School was first to be built in 1915 and the Church building was completed in 1925.
Rev. Mueller served as Pastor until 1955, when he retired.
Rev. Paul F. Huxhold then served as Pastor until 1976.
In 1960 the School was renovated and a new modern addition was built in front and a breezeway was added to go between the Church and School.
Golgotha Evangelical Lutheran Church & School ceased operations in 1994. Mount Calvary Baptist Church then bought the Church & School property.
