"Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe. The righteous detest the way of the wicked, but those who are upright delight in the way of the righteous." – Proverbs 29:25-27 (NIV)

Saints, is that your thought you are thinking? We live in a highly co-dependent world where we crave relationship with others to the point of surrendering our free will. Proverbs 29:25-27 warns us clearly: the fear of man becomes a snare that traps us.

A measure of a true leader is they must lead by example so you can clearly see where their submission lays. Where is your submission? Is it to God Almighty or to the approval of people?

As you develop a deeper relationship with Christ, be aware God explicitly warns against allowing others to dictate your life instead of showing you the life of free will in Christ. Take a stance with your freedom papers in hand and step boldly into God's plan for your life.

Don't be bound by the opinions of those who don't understand your journey. Your purpose is written by the Great I Am, not by the voices around you. Trust Him. Obey Him. Walk in the freedom He purchased for you.

AMEN

"Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body." – Ephesians 4:25 (NIV)

Saints, I'm distancing myself from things I don't desire to be like. As my mommy always advised, "Surrounding yourself with who you want to be like because you will become like the company you keep." This isn't about judgment—it's about intentional growth.

If we want to build a better world, we must BE what we desire to see. We must embody excellence, kindness, and purpose. Romans 12:6 reminds us that God has given each of us unique gifts and talents. The question is: are we using them to uplift or to tear down? Are we becoming the person we're called to be, and are we surrounding ourselves with others who are doing the same?

Your circle shapes your character. Choose wisely. Choose growth. Choose community that reflects Christ's love and pushes you toward your God-given destiny.

Grand Rising, Saints! Let's use our gifts to build each other up today.

AMEN

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away." – Revelation 21:4 (NIV)

Saints, God never breaks His promises. One thing He promised for the future is that He heard every plea and will wipe away every tear. He sent Jesus to replace it all with Joy. God said it, so look for the trees bearing good fruit—for you will know they are from God and that His work is near through the mighty name of Jesus. Let's furiously face the future with faith and hope. AMEN

"A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh" - Luke 6:45 (KJV)

From a child my mother would correct me when I wasn't truly listening to what people were saying. I was just hearing words, Saints, but not discerning the spirit behind them. That's a critical difference. This Pastor learned to listening.

People reveal their true nature through the words they speak—not the polished, thought-out ones, but those utterances that slip out when they're not measuring consequences. That's where the real character shows up. Spiritual discernment isn't just a nice-to-have; it's essential in this life. We navigate by it.

What wounds us isn't always the words themselves. It's the true nature, the intent, the spirit behind those words that Jesus will reveal if you just listen with your spiritual ear. Only Jesus can change a heart. That's the work. That's the power. So give Him your listening ear, give Him your trust, and let Him do what only He can do—correct the heart of your offender so you can have peace.

AMEN

"Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things." - Colossians 3:2 (NIV)

Saints, everyone is looking for me to comment on today's event, but my peace is not in the world. Once my civic duty is complete according to God, I need to refocus on His affairs.

In a world that constantly demands our attention, our voice, our opinion on every happening, we must remember where our true peace resides. It is not found in the noise of current events or the pressure to respond to every moment. Our peace comes from setting our minds on things above—on God's kingdom, His purpose, and His divine will for our lives.

We have civic responsibilities, yes. We fulfill them with integrity and faith. But once that duty is complete, our focus must return to what truly matters: serving God, building His kingdom, and transforming hearts through the Gospel. The world will always demand more of us, but God calls us to something higher.

Where do you seek peace, Saints? Is it in the approval of others? In being heard on every issue? Or is it in the quiet assurance that God is in control, that His affairs are eternal, and that our purpose is to serve Him above all else?

Today, I choose to refocus. I choose to set my mind on things above. I choose God's peace over the world's chaos.

AMEN

"Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Avoid perverse speech; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and all your ways will be established." - Proverbs 4:23-26 (NIV)

Saints, the reason action speaks louder than words is because what's in your heart always shows in your actions, evidently. God speaks clearly about this in Proverbs 4:23-26. Consistency in walking in the Word of God shows up in your every action and gives you perfect peace. Check yourself today. Are your actions aligned with what you say you believe? Are you guarding your heart and letting God's Word guide your steps?

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." - John 13:34-35 (NIV)

Maundy Thursday reminds us of the profound humility and love Jesus demonstrated when He washed His disciples' feet. In that sacred act, He showed us that true leadership is servant leadership—meeting others where they are, with hands willing to serve, hearts ready to love.

The new commandment He gave us is simple yet transformative: Love one another as He loved us. This is not a love of convenience or comfort. It's a love that serves, that kneels, that washes away the dust of the world from one another's feet. It's a love that sees the sacred in service.

As we walk through this Maundy Thursday, let us reflect on how we can embody this love in our daily lives. How can we serve? Where can we humble ourselves? How can we love one another with the same sacrificial, transformative love that Jesus demonstrated?

Let us spread love and light today and forever in Jesus' name.

AMEN

"Then one of the Twelve—the one called Judas Iscariot—went to the chief priests and asked, 'What are you willing to give me if I hand him over to you?' So they counted out for him thirty pieces of silver. And from that time on, Judas watched for an opportunity to hand him over." - Matthew 26:14-16 (NIV)

On this Holy Wednesday, we remember the day Judas, one of the twelve disciples and treasurer, plotted with the Chief Priests to hand over Jesus to stop His mission and influence for thirty pieces of silver. Saints, this day calls us to exercise careful discernment and identify the "Judas'" in our lives—those masked supporters who seek an opportunity to betray us.

Jesus knew the hurt of betrayal, but He understood that it only pushed Him deeper into His purpose. He didn't allow the betrayal to derail His divine calling. Before Judas ever made his move, God had already revealed it. Take inventory today. Don't miss what God is revealing to you about the Judas' in your circle. Discernment is a gift—use it wisely.
AMEN!
