Helping Hand M.B. Church joins with the New Zion City MB Church Chicago family in mourning the passing of the Reverend Dr. Willie Runnels.

Rev. Runnels was truly a giant in the faith, a visionary, and a patriarch whose life, leadership, and service to God touched generations. We extend our sincere love, prayers, and condolences to the entire Runnels family, the New Zion City church family, and all who were blessed by his ministry.

We pray that God will strengthen and comfort each heart in the days ahead.

Everybody is going somewhere… but everybody isn’t worth following. When your backpack is full of the right things—Prayer, Faith, Wisdom, Self-control, and Good Character—you don’t have to Fit In to Stand Out.

Helping Hand is challenging our children, youth, and young adults to have enough faith, courage, and character to follow God—even when the crowd is headed the other way.

As a brand-new school year starts, we are inviting ALL students returning to school, teachers, administrators, school staff, and educators to join us for a special time of prayer and covering.

We’re starting this school year covered, equipped, and ready.
